08a. Alana Problems
Alana V3 6a
Start on crack 1. Gain 2 with your right. Big stretch up to 4. Use this (and crimps higher if you need them) to rock to the top. Avoid all cracks after the start.
Playback V5 6b
Avoid the left arete holds. Start on 1, RH-2. Use undercuts 5a/b/c to get your right on sloper 3. Use this and a higher crimp to get the top.
Alana Direct
There are rumours of a direct avoiding all crack and arete holds. Would be quite hard.

Hank and myself watched Dave Mann (my nephew) climb Alana direct, we nearly managed it but on the night he blew us out the water !!! |

there is a desperate yet positive horizontal left hand hold 4 oclock of 5c undercut around 6 inches away which works just as good.not for the fat fingered!
